The
PSI-20 Index closed at 5,261.15 points in August 2015, reflecting a 8.0%
downturn than in July and a 11.5% decrease than that recorded in the same
period in 2014. The key issuers on the Index were
Jerónimo Martins (13.78%),
Galp (12.91%) and EDP (11.70%).
The Index's
volatility was 33.79%. This was above the 26.29% recorded in July and
the 26.39% recorded in the same period in 2014.
The value of spot
secondary market transactions amounted to €1,829.1 million. This is
€564.2 million (32.3%) less than the previous month and €591.0 million
(24.4%) less than in August 2014. The trading volume of Euronext Lisbon
amounted to €1,794.6 million. This reflects a 23.3% downswing when
compared to July and a 24.4% decline when compared to the same period in
2014.
The trading volume
in debt securities in MTS Portugal amounted to €10,141.0 million in
August. This is 14.4% less than in July, with Treasury Bills dropping 9.7%
and Treasury Bonds reversing 23.1%.
Market
capitalisation of Euronext Lisbon amounted to €243,772.6 million. This
corresponds a decrease of €21,111.7 million (8.0%) than the preceding month and 5.2% less than in August 2014. The bond sector recorded a 1.9% monthly
downswing to €111,284.6 million and the share sector dropped 12.6% up to
€129,759.4 million.
The amount under
management in the Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable
Securities and Alternative Investment Funds decreased 1.5% in July to
€11,430.1 million apropos June. The amount under management of Real
Estate Investment Funds and Special Real Estate Investment Funds tumbled
0.7% down to €11,845.3 million in said period.
