CMVM issues warning for investors concerning BCP Private

The CMVM (Portuguese Securities Market Commission) issues a warning for investors concerning the entity operating through the  This entity is misusing the identity of the CMVM authorised entity Banco Comercial Português, S.A., namely a similar firm’s name, its address and fiscal number. The CMVM clarifies that such entity contrary to what has been disclosed, bears no relation with the entity Banco Comercial Português, S.A., registered with the CMVM as financial intermediary. Banco Comercial Português, S.A., the financial intermediary registered with the CMVM is not subject of this warning or, in any way, intended by it.

The entity operating through the website is not authorised to carry out any type of financial intermediation activity in Portugal, under article 295 (1)(a)(b) of the Portuguese Securities Code.

The CMVM warns, additionally, that such entity, misusing the identity of the CMVM authorised entity, is not authorised to carry out advertising or client prospecting aimed at entering into financial intermediation contracts.
