CMVM issues warning concerning fraudulent website unduly associated with registered entity SEEDIMO

The CMVM (Portuguese Securities Market Commission) issues a warning for investors concerning the entity operating through the websites https://www.seedimogroup.com/ and https://pt.seedimogroup.com/.  This entity is misusing the identity of the CMVM authorised entity Seedimo Lda, namely the firm’s name and address. The CMVM clarifies that such entity contrary to what has been disclosed, bears no relation with the entity SEEDIMO LDA., registered with the CMVM as a management entity of a crowdfunding platform. SEEDIMO LDA., the management entity of a crowdfunding platform, registered with the CMVM is not subject of this warning or, in any way, intended by it. 

The entity operating through the websites https://www.seedimogroup.com/ and https://pt.seedimogroup.com/ is not authorised to carry out any type of financial intermediation activity in Portugal, under article 295 (1)(a)(b) of the Portuguese Securities Code. 

The CMVM warns, additionally, that such entity, misusing the identity of the CMVM authorised entity, is neither authorised to carry out advertising or client prospecting aimed at entering into financial intermediation contracts, nor is it authorised by the CMVM for crowdfunding intermediation activity in Portugal under the Portuguese legal framework for crowdfunding.
