The CMVM (Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários) announces that it  notified Camargo Correa SA today of the commencement of administrative proceeding for the purposes of ensuring compliance of its proposed merger with the competing offers framework envisaged in Article 185 of the Securities Code, or to withdraw and refrain from publishing or disclosing and carrying out any acts relating thereto, in addition to the report concerning the said withdrawal.
 
As from the date of notification, Camargo Correa SA has 10 working days to issue a statement pursuant to the right to a preliminary hearing envisaged in the Administrative Procedure Code.

The merger proposal presented by Camargo Corrêa was reported to the market by Cimpor on 13 January 2010.
